FAQs – what you need to know before your rail holiday

Q:Can I sleep onboard the trains?

A: If you’re travelling with Rocky Mountaineer, you will not sleep on the train but instead stay in hotels for each night of your trip. If you’re travelling with VIA Rail, you can sleep on some train routes.

Q: What food can I expect onboard the trains?

A: For passengers experiencing a Rocky Mountaineer route, each day you’ll be served a tasty and gourmet breakfast and lunch made from local ingredients, as well as snacks in between. VIA Rail customers can enjoy light meals, snacks and drinks.

Q: Are the trains accessible for wheelchair users?

A: Yes, the trains are suitable for wheelchair users and staff will be able to assist you.

Just returned from a trip arranged by Gavin of My Canada Trips.
