Day 1 - Calgary to Banff

Arrive Calgary Airport and transfer to Banff

Day 2 - Discover Banff, wildlife & Gondola

A fantastic tour awaits you today. Learn about Banff. Look out for the local wildlife and ride the Banff Gondola. Remember your camera!! 

Day 3 - Icefields Parkway

The Columbia Icefield. Take in the spectacular Ice Explorer ride where a Snowcoach will take you out on to the Athabasca Glacier where you can get off for a walk and fill up your water bottle. Also included is the Glacier Skywalk.

Day 4 - Banff to Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer

All aboard! Today you join Rocky Mountaineer for a classic rail journey through the Rockies!

Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior.  As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo mountains.  Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.  Overnight in Kamloops

Day 5 - Kamloops to Vancouver - Rocky Mountaineer

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley.  Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon.  Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Day 6 - Cunard Alaska Voyage

Depart Vancouver on your amazing Cunard Alaska cruise.

Day 7 - Inside Passage

The Alaskan Inside Passage is a sea route of fjords, islands and bays. It is one of the most scenic maritime journeys in the world, with its spectacular mountain ranges, quaint towns and lush islands. This protected waterway is one of the few where larger vessels can sail so near to the steep mountain walls, enabling you to experience glaciers, forest-clad islands and ice-carved fjords up-close.

Day 8 - Juneau

Beneath an ice field that never melts, on a waterway that never freezes, Juneau is the unusual and disarmingly beautiful capital of Alaska. The Mendenhall Glacier is the not-to-be-missed attraction. Look for orca and humpback whales as we sail into Juneau. There’s plenty to entertain and intrigue in the city. If you’re feeling fit, explore the glaciers by kayak or trek with crampons and an axe.

Venture into genuine wilderness as you sail to, and amongst, the mix of huge icebergs and towering mountain peaks of Tracy Arm, located in the southeastern strip of Alaska bordering British Columbia.

Marvel nature at its most unspoilt and compelling, spotting wildlife as you go, while you explore parts of the largest temperate rainforest in the world: Tongass National Forest.

Day 9 - Skagway

Gateway to the Klondike, with highlights including White Summit Pass and the cable Yukon Suspension Bridge. The gold rush coastal town of Skagway, Alaska, was previously a lawless Wild West outpost.

Day 10 - Hubbard Glacier (at sea)

Day 11 - Sitka

Sitka is a hidden beauty on the east coast of Baranof Island in southeast Alaska. Towered over by snowy mountains in the distance, it has previously been known as the Indian River Park and Totem Park. Sitka’s National Historical Park is the oldest national park in Alaska, and along with the town’s warm welcome, its many natural wonders combine for a remarkable experience.

Day 12 - Glacier Bay (cruising)

With snow-capped peaks, abundant wildlife and shimmering glaciers, it’s no wonder Glacier Bay National Park is the crowning jewel of Alaska’s Inside Passage.  Glacier Bay National Park Port Guide.

There’s so much to take in on a Glacier Bay National Park cruise, it’s hard to know where to begin. Towering mountains, gargantuan icebergs and majestic glaciers stretch as far as the eye can see, disappearing onto the horizon in every direction. It’s a thrilling sight to experience from the deck of a cruise ship or snuggled under a blanket in the warmth of your stateroom balcony, as you silently watch the world go by.

The park is home to over 1,000 glaciers, the majority of which nestle in the surrounding mountains, connecting land to sky like nature’s skyscrapers. Soaring to 15,000 feet, Glacier Bay’s ranges are the highest coastal peaks in all the world; their abundant snowfall offering the perfect breeding ground for glaciers to take shape. Day 13 - Ketchikan

Tiny Ketchikan is just three miles long and three blocks wide, but here you can be sure to find Alaska’s busiest waterfront buzzing with boat planes, fishing boats, pleasure craft, and busy fishermen. Local trawlers bring delicacies like king crab, octopus, shark, prawn and rockfish to Ketchikan, known as Alaska’s First City for its location and its figurehead status for outstanding natural beauty.

Day 14 - At Sea

A day at sea to relax and enjoy the endless on board facilities and activities available.

Day 15 - Victoria

The capital of British Colombia, Victoria, possesses a unique blend of historic charm and contemporary charisma. It offers a wide variety of exquisite sights that draw visitors from around the world. Notable landmarks include Craigdarroch Castle and the elegant Empress Hotel, which contrast with the shops and restaurants. There’s ample opportunity for whale watching and wildlife viewing, too.

Day 16 - Disembark Ship Vancouver

Disembark ship and you will be taken on a Vancouver City Highlights Tour. Luggage can be stored on the coach, and you will later be dropped at your downtown hotel.

Drive through historic neighbourhoods such as Gastown, Chinatown, scenic English Bay and the picturesque Vancouver Harbour. Stops in Stanley Park feature Indigenous Peoples' Totem Poles, spectacular views of the mountains and the Lions Gate Bridge. Also includes the opportunity to wander through the charming farmer's market at Granville Island.

Day 17 - Vancouver

Day at leisure exploring Vancouver. Alternatively ask one of our Canada Experts for recommendations of tours, full day tours to Victoria and Whistler are very popular options.

Day 18 - Depart Vancouver

Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (transfer not included)
