When can I check in for my Silversea Alaska cruise?

Silversea passengers are not required to complete online check-in prior to their cruise. Upon embarkation, the crew will collect your passport and carry out the check-in process in person. You will then be personally escorted to your suite.

Guests are responsible for arriving at the port on time. While it is strongly recommended to be ready to board during your allocated embarkation window, please note that any guests not on board at least 60 minutes before departure will be denied boarding.

When can I book my Silversea Alaska cruise shore excursions?

Shore excursions with Silversea are included as part of your cruise and you can book them as soon as you have booked your cruise. We highly recommend booking your shore excursions in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Embarkation time can vary depending on your itinerary, your boarding time will be confirmed in your final documentation you will receive 2-3 weeks prior to departure from the UK.

What documentation do I require when boarding my Silversea Alaska cruise?

• Cruise documentation that we have sent out to you.
• Government issued passport with at least 6 months validity from date of return to the UK.

Silversea will set sail from Alaska from either Canada Place in Vancouver or Seward.

Is there a transfer included in my Silversea Alaska cruise?

Depending on which fare you are booked on will determine if you have transfers included. In Silversea’s door to door fare transfers from your hotel to the cruise are included. With port-to-port fares you will need to make your own way to the cruise terminal.

What will happen with my luggage onboard my Silversea Alaska cruise?

Your luggage tags will be sent in your My Canada Trips final documentation, you will receive this 2-3 week prior to your departure. Attach your luggage label prior to embarking and your case will be transferred to your cabin.

Wi-Fi is included in your fare. While access is available throughout the ship, please note that satellite connectivity may be slower and less reliable, especially in remote regions like the Arctic.

Is there a dress code onboard Silversea Alaska cruise?

Yes Silversea does have a dress code on-board:

Casual dinners: 

Men- Slacks (no jeans) and a sports shirt

Women- Slacks and blouse, a sundress, or a pantsuit

Informal dinners:

Men – Jacket with or without a tie, 

Women - A dress or pantsuit.

Formal Evenings:

Men - A dark suit or a tuxedo

Women – Evening gown or cocktail dress.

Does Silversea offer tuxedo rentals on their Alaska cruises?

No, however, the onboard boutique has a limited selection of formal wear attire for purchase.
