Kanab Experiences

Below is a small selection of the tours we can organise for you when you have booked your USA holiday with us and are visiting Kanab.

Our ATV tour to Peek-a-Boo Slot Canyon is a short, three-hour tour that still manages to pack in bucket loads of fun, thrills, excitement and a healthy dose of adventure!

We’ll meet you at our office for check-in, then set off separately to the trailhead where our adventure officially kicks off as we get into the ATVs!  The journey to Peek-a-Boo is half the fun of this tour, we’ll follow a backcountry sand trail, race over sand dunes and zip over hills, exactly what these ATV are designed for!

As our convoy progresses along the trail towards the canyon you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views of Navajo Sandstone, native plants and if you’re lucky, maybe even some local wildlife. Once we arrive to the Canyon, be prepared to be floored by its beauty and tranquil presence, it has been described by many as a sanctuary in stone.

Together with your tour guide, freely explore the wonders of the canyon and discover its slender passages with their spectrum of dusty reds, earthy browns and burnt orange colors. All meticulously layered by Mother Nature into the sandstone walls; mesmerizing for any photographer, hiker or adventurer! Learn about the history and geology of the area from your guide as you enjoy the reverence of this special site.

When we are done exploring, it’s time to head back to our ATVs for more fun and thrills over the sand trails as we head back towards our starting point. Time permitting, your guide will treat you to a bonus ride to finish the day on a high note!

We love the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  It’s wilder and bigger than the South.  We start out driving south from Kanab through Fredonia to the base of the mountain known as the Kaibab.  From here we unload the ATVs and take off across the wilds of Northern Arizona.  Starting in Juniper scrub forest further up into Fir and Aspen groves and back to the breaks of the Esplanade desert regions, this tour covers quite a bit of elevation.  From towering Ponderosas to giant Century Plants, we cover some unique plant life as we traverse through the Limestone layers of the North Rim.  There is a lot of animal life as well.  Everything from Mule deer to Kaibab Mountain Squirrels, and Spiny Collared Lizards to California Condors.
Avoid the crowds and come up to an elevation where you can really clear your head. You can expect to enjoy a day full of heart thumping ATV trails, winding forest glades and stunning vistas.

The highlight for many is experiencing first hand the sheer size and presence of the canyon, it’s crevice is a mile deep and over 275 miles long! For many of our guests, it’s a powerful experience that stays with them, one that seems to make their busy world stand still as they watch the sun dive deep into the canyon, almost touching the Colorado River. The air is crisp and refreshing throughout the North Rim, surrounded by a lush forest environment and excellent trails and hiking options with countless amazing views, you’ll easily see why it’s regarded as one of the 7 Wonders of the World.
