Day 1 - UK to Montreal

Arrive in Montreal and check into your hotel. Spending the rest of your day at lesuire, perhaps take a walk down Sainte Catherine Street, stopping in at one of the cafes or restaurants and sample some of the local cuisine the city is famous for.

Day 2 - Explore Montreal

The day is at leisure for exploring Montreal, boasting a vibrant, cosmopolitan flair and a unique combination of the founding cultures of Canada. Stroll through the Old Port, visit the Notre Dame Basilica, Olympic Park or perhaps travel the tree-covered pathways of stunning Mount Royal Park overlooking the city. We have included the Montreal Hop on Hop off Bus allowing you to get fully aquinted with the city.

Day 3 - Montreal to Stowe

The drive from Montreal across the Canada/USA border to Stowe is replete with astonishing, lush landscapes. You may wish to stop in one of the many small towns on the shores of Lake Champlain for lunch by the waterside. Farther along the route, Smugglers' Notch State Park is a popular destination for photo opportunities, with its towering cliffs and boulders. Continue on to Stowe – an outdoor adventure hub in the region.

Day 4 - Stowe

Today is free to perhaps get a birds-eye view of Mt. Mansfield by gondola, departing near the luxurious Stowe Mountain Resort. Hike near the summit for breathtaking vistas among the towering peaks. For a taste of something sweet, you may wish to tour the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory, revealing the some of the secrets behind one of America’s favorite brands of frozen desert.

Day 5 - Stowe to White Mountains

The drive today is brief, allowing you plenty of time to check in to your hotel and explore the White Mountains region. The Appalachian Trail winds past some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. Additionally, one of the most popular attractions is the Cog Railway, a vintage small gauge railway taking visitors to the top of Mount Washington.

Day 6 - White Mountains to Bar Harbour

Today enroute to Bar Harbor, a stop in Bangor provides an intriguing place to rest and refresh. While there, perhaps visit the grounds of world-famous horror author Stephen King's home or spend some time on the waterfront along the shores of the Penobscot River. Arrive in Bar Harbor, a famous retreat dotted with luxurious vacation homes and estates.

Day 9 - Ogunquit

There is ample time today to spend at Ogunquit's most treasured attractions - the 5km white sand beach that graces the shoreline of the town. Perfect for walking, swimming or sunbathing, it entices visitors and residents alike. For the more active traveller, the Marginal Way paved coastal cliff walk stretches 3 km along the high outcropping that follows the shoreline, providing endless views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 10 - Ogunquit to Boston

Along the short drive to Boston, take some time to stop for lunch in Portsmouth. Local galleries describe the colonial history of the town, and the Market Square showcases local art and folk crafts inspired by the sea. Afterwards, you may wish to stop in Salem – the historic buildings and ornate colonial churches being home of the infamous Puritan witchcraft persecutions of the 1600s. Arriving in Boston, there is time for some local exploration within the downtown area.

Day 11 - Boston

Take the full day to independently discover the history and many attractions of Boston. Walk the Freedom Trail, its red brick path weaving through the centre of Boston featuring over a dozen historical sites. Visit the manicured campus of world-famous Harvard University, or perhaps spend some time at signature visitor destinations such as the New England Aquarium or the USS Constitution Museum moored in the bay. There is an attraction for every taste in this dynamic city.

Day 12 - Boston to the Green Mountains

Driving northward back into Vermont, take some time to discover the charms of the towns and communities that line the route. In Bennington, the Battle Monument and Bennington Museum commemorate a pivotal Revolutionary War battle. Manchester is a destination for many with its large and small retail outlets. Outdoor enthusiasts can take a walk in the Hildene Gardens and Estate (home of Robert Todd Lincoln) or go hiking in the nearby Equinox Preserve. Overnight in the Green Mountains region.

Day 13 - The Green Mountains

A day of outdoor adventure awaits. You may choose to visit one of many local parks and hiking areas, including Quechee Gorge, known as "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon". The Ottauquechee River flows through the gorge, which is surrounded by hiking trails and scenic vistas. Emerald Lake State Park offers clear waters for swimming, kayaking and picnicking as well as local hiking trails.
