Quebec First Nations Experience

Begin in Quebec City, enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town learning about the history and architecture of the French inspired streets. After 3-nights in Quebec City it's over to Wendake a city rich in First Nations culture home to the Huron Indigenous People. Here you be immersed in the First Nations culture staying at Hotel Musee Premieres Nations designed with First Nations design with a modern twist. During your stay you will be able to participate in a variety of activities enjoy a guided tour Huron-Wendat Nation with an expert guide at the museum, Talking Stick workshop, where you can make your own talking stick a tool used in tribal council or enjoy a necklace workshop where indigenous craftswomen make traditional jewellery from wood beads and leather laces. In the evening enjoy meals inspired by the native land. You will leave feeling inspired by the First Nations People culture and rich history.

Day 1 - UK to Quebec City

Day 2 - Walking Tour of Quebec City

Today we have included a walking tour of Quebec City. At a leisurely pace, take the time to explore and to learn about the history, the architecture and the charms of Old Quebec, a World Heritage site! Starting in the heart of Quebec's old Upper Town, we will wend our way down to the historic Lower Town. With many opportunities to snap some great photos, your guide will also provide suggestions along the way of further things to see and do during your stay. The tour ends at the funiculaire leaving you with the choice to explore the many shops and attractions in Lower Town or returning to the Upper Town - a short ride or walk away!

Among landmarks discovered: Dufferin Terrace - Chateau Frontenac - St-Lawrence River - Latin Quarter - Old Seminary - Fortifications - Old Port - The Antique & Art district - Place Royale "Birthplace of the City".

Day 4 - Quebec City to Wendake

Today check out of your Quebec City for your transfer to Wendake. 

Wendake is a city located just outside of Quebec City and is rich in First Nations history and culture. During your stay you will learn more about the Huron Culture and be full emersed in their lifestyle.

Day 5 - Wendake

A full day to enjoy the activties available at your hotel. There is plenty of First Nations experiences to enjoy including:

Audioguide or guided tour: Explore the history and culture of the Huron-Wendat Nation at your own pace, in your own language, or with an experienced guide.

Talking stick workshop: Make your own talking stick, a tool that was and still is used in tribal councils to regulate speech.

Necklace workshop: Accompanied by an indigenous craftswoman, make a traditional necklace from wood beads and leather laces.

Myths and legends: Sit around a fire in the Ekionkiestha National Longhouse and listen to an indigenous storyteller recount the myths of his childhood.

Escape game: Take part in an indoor and outdoor trail featuring 5 unique sites on the site of the Huron-Wendat Museum, created in collaboration with Défi-Évasion.

Day 6 - Wendake

Another day to experience learning about Huron Nations Culture, today we have included 3 course dinner at the hotel restaurant to allow you to enjoy a meals inspired by the native land.
