Silversea Alaska Cruise Your Questions Answered

Silversea passengers are not required to complete online check-in prior to their cruise. Upon embarkation, the crew will collect your passport and carry out the check-in process in person. You will then be personally escorted to your suite.

Guests are responsible for arriving at the port on time. While it is strongly recommended to be ready to board during your allocated embarkation window, please note that any guests not on board at least 60 minutes before departure will be denied boarding.

As soon as you have booked your cruise you can log in to My Silversea and pre-book any shore excursions you wish to do. We highly recommend booking your shore excursions in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Embarkation time can vary depending on your itinerary, your boarding time will be confirmed in your final documentation you will receive 2-3 weeks prior to departure from the UK.

Your luggage tags will be sent in your My Canada Trips final documentation, you will receive this 2-3 week prior to your departure. Attach your luggage label prior to embarking and your case will be transferred to your cabin.

The main dining room aboard all Silversea ships, The Restaurant, has an Open Seating arrangement, which means no assigned dining time or table. Arrive at your leisure and dine with the friends of your choice. Please discuss your dining preferences with the Maître d’ once on board.

Wi-Fi is included in your fare. While access is available throughout the ship, please note that satellite connectivity may be slower and less reliable, especially in remote regions like the Arctic.

Most spa and salon appointments can be made via My Silversea from 180 days until two days before your cruise departs.

Yes Silversea does have a dress code on-board:

Casual dinners: 

Men- Slacks (no jeans) and a sports shirt

Women- Slacks and blouse, a sundress, or a pantsuit

Informal dinners:

Men – Jacket with or without a tie, 

Women - A dress or pantsuit.

Formal Evenings:

Men - A dark suit or a tuxedo

Women – Evening gown or cocktail dress.

No, however, the onboard boutique has a limited selection of formal wear attire for purchase.
