Now you have booked your Holland America Line Cruise you may have few questions before you board. We have put together a collection of commonly asked questions to help make your cruising experience hassle free.
Once your booking has been confirmed please register yourself with Holland America, you will need your name and cruise reference and personal details to set up an account.
To manage your booking simply log on and explore!! Your cruise personaliser allows you to streamline your cruise experience and get even more excited about your upcoming holiday. Your cruise itinerary will be broken down very clearly and you will have access to shore excursion options as well as various activities and services on board. It is highly recommended to book any tours directly through your cruise line, this ensures that you aren't left behind!! Checking your cruise personalizer regularly will allow you to take advantage of the various discounts made available pre-departure to secure the best deals and of course, give you a chance to familiarise yourself with the ship and its experiences.

Please Note: As you have booked with a travel agent your confirmed inclusions such as a drinks package, wi-fi, etc. may not all be listed on the relevant cruise lines app or cruise planner. Please refer to your My Canada Trips correspondence for confirmation of all inclusions. If you have any queries, please contact us.
Documents you'll need for embarkation:
**Please note that the above documentation is mandatory for all guests, you will be refused boarding if you do not have the required documents.**
Check-In
It is recommended that you complete your online check-in at least 72 hours prior to departure this may be done through Holland America Manage My Booking. Please make a note of your allocated embarkation time and have your Express Docs Printed, guest arrivals are staggered to ensure a smooth check-in process with minimal waiting times. It is the guest’s own responsibility to arrive on time for boarding, and while it is highly recommended to ensure you are ready to board during your embarkation slot those who fail to be on board at least 90 minutes prior to departure will be denied boarding.
Luggage Tags
Your luggage tags will generate during the online check-in process. Please ensure that you have them printed and securely attached to your luggage prior to embarkation. Upon check-in, for your convenience, your bags will be transferred to your cabin for you.
Holland America offers 4 drink packages, there is a daily limit of 15 beverages per day for all except the Unlimited Coco Cola Package, any beverages purchased over that number will be at cost and charged to your account. Holland America reserves the right to refuse service if they believe you are too intoxicated.
Signature Drinks Package – US$54.95 pp per day.
This package is automatically included if your cruise was booked on the ‘Have It All’ rate (Signature Drinks, Shore Excursion Credit, Specialty Dining). Please refer to your My Canada Trips booking confirmation, for your inclusions.
Inclusions
Premium beers, cocktails, wine by the glass and spirits including anything featured in the non-alcoholic ‘Quench Package’– up to the value of US$11.00. If you wish to partake in a premium beverage for example a US$13.00 cocktail, the additional US$3.00 will simply be charged to your account.
Elite Drinks Package – US$59.99pp per day
You can upgrade your Signature package to the Premium Package pre-departure or on board, your Elite Drinks Package includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages out with of your 15 drink alcoholic drink limit.
Inclusions
Any drink including anything featured in the non-alcoholic ‘Quench Package’– up to the value of US$15.00. If you wish to partake in a beverage over that value for example a US$17.00 cocktail, the additional US$2.00 will simply be charged to your account.
Quench Package – US$17.95pp per day
A nonalcoholic package option for a range of fun onboard refreshments with a limit of 15 beverages per day.
Inclusions
Soft drinks, juices, mocktails, red bull specialty coffees, bottled water up to 500ml, and sparkling water.
Coca-Cola Package – US$8.00pp per day
A nonalcoholic package with no limit on drinks.
Inclusions
Unlimited Coca-Cola fountain soda for your entire cruise
No Drinks Package – FREE!!
If you choose not to purchase a Holland America Drinks Package, onboard beverages can be bought at cost from any drinks station you like - a discretional 18% gratuity will automatically be added to your account per drink. There is also a range of free beverages available throughout the ship and main dining room featuring lemonade, coffee, hot tea, iced tea, and non-bottled water.
