Day 1 - Arrive in Vancouver

Arrive in Vancouver and transfer to your hotel. Spending the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 2 - Vancouver City Highlights

This morning we have included a 3.5 hour Vancouver City Highlights tour. Prepare to experience the unique history and unfolding splendour as you tour through the modern streets of Vancouver. Drive by the most renowned sights and learn how Vancouver became the city it is today.

Situated on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and framed by British Columbia's imposing mountains, it's easy to fall in love with this astonishing city. Drive through historic neighbourhoods such as Gastown, Chinatown, scenic English Bay and the picturesque Vancouver Harbour.

Stops in Stanley Park feature Indigenous Peoples' Totem Poles, spectacular views of the mountains and the Lions Gate Bridge.

Also includes the opportunity to wander through the charming farmer's market at Granville Island. Reminder of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 3 - Vancouver to Yellowknife

Check out of your Vancouver hotel to take the short domestic flight to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories.

Once you have arrived in Yellowknife, you will be greeted by your tour guide from the Aurora Village who will take you to your hotel. 

Once you have settled in and fitted into your winter clothes you will meet with your guide who will take you to the Aurora Village for the first night of Aurora viewing!  Warm up in a picturesque tepee glowing in the night, wood fire stove burning and choose from a delicious selection of hot beverages. Situated around the village on high ground and away from the lights of the city, the view of the Aurora is unsurpassed.

After your viewing, you are transferred back to your Yellowknife hotel.

Day 4 - Explore Yellowknife / Aurora Village

Begin your day with a guided tour of Yellowknife. Your guided experience reveals the city’s early beginnings where the “streets were paved with gold”, to its deeply rooted Indigenous Culture. See the Legislative Assembly, Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre, as well as a scenic drive through downtown, Old Town, and onto a drive on the frozen Ice Road (ice permitting).

Enjoy a guided hike to Cameron Falls in Hidden Lake Territorial Park leads through the boreal forest and along the rocky terrain, across streams and in and out of small valleys en route. In the winter months, embark on an exciting dog sledding ride through the wooded trails surrounding Aurora Village. In the evening enjoying your second night at viewing the Northern Lights, before returning back to your Yellowknife Hotel.

Day 5 - Snowshoeing Experience /Aurora Village

Today discover a unique method of travel with a snowshoe guided walk on the back trails of Aurora Village. This cultural snowshoe experience takes you on a journey into the woods at Aurora Village, learning about the local traditions of the land and the wildlife and flora of the area. Included are roasted marshmallows, use of the village ice slide and hot drinks. Returning to the Aurora Village for a third opportunity to view the Northern Lights.

Day 6 - Yellowknife to Vancouver

Today is your last day in Yellowknife, you will be transfered from your tour group from your hotel to the airport for your flight back to Vancouver. 

Transfer from Vancouver airport spending the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 7 - Return Vancouver

Your final day in Vancouver, transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.
