Day 1 - Arrive Ottawa

Arrive in Ottawa spending the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 2 - Ottawa to North Baffin Island

Today you will take the charter flight from Ottawa to North Baffin Island where you will stay at Floe Edge Base Camp.

Day 3 - Arrival in Remote Hamlet

Today you will transfer to a remote hamlet where you will be briefed over dinner on your exciting itinerary.

Day 4 - Floe Edge Experience

Start your day with a journey by qamutik a traditional Inuit sled pulled by snowmobiles across the pristine Arctic landscape. As you glide over the vast expanse of snow and ice, you’ll traverse some of the most awe-inspiring scenery on Earth.

Over the next five days, you’ll have the rare opportunity to witness the extraordinary phenomenon known as the Floe Edge, often called the “Line of Life.” Here, where the solid sea ice meets the open water, a vibrant and dynamic ecosystem thrives. This remote frontier, visited by few, offers the chance to observe majestic narwhals, polar bears, seals, and a variety of seabirds in their untouched natural habitat.

Immerse yourself in the raw beauty and stillness of the Arctic wilderness a place of both serenity and spectacle.

Day 5 - Floe Edge Experience

One of the activities available on the itinerary is sea kayaking. Paddle through the breathtaking Floe Edge, where sea ice meets open water in the Arctic. Sea kayaking here offers close encounters with seals, seabirds, and possibly narwhals, all amid stunning ice formations. This rare experience immerses you in a vibrant, remote ecosystem guided safely by Arctic experts.

Day 6 - Floe Edge Experience

Another activity you can enjoy is snorkelling. Snorkel in the crystal-clear Arctic waters at the Floe Edge, where sea ice meets open ocean. Witness incredible marine life jellyfish, sea anemones, and perhaps a glimpse of narwhals—below shimmering ice. This rare adventure offers an intimate view of the underwater Arctic world, guided safely by polar diving experts.

Day 7 - Floe Edge Experience

Learn the traditional Inuit skill of igloo building in the heart of the Arctic. Guided by experts, you'll cut and shape snow blocks to create a sturdy shelter. This hands-on cultural experience offers insight into Indigenous survival techniques and a deeper connection to the land and its people.

Day 8 - Floe Edge Experience

Your final day to experience the arctic.

Day 9 - Return to Pond Inlet

Traverse back to the hamlet for an overnight stay prior to your flight back to Ottawa.

Day 10 - Pond Inlet to Ottawa

Today you will say goodbye to the arctic for your return flight to Ottawa. Spending the remainder of your day in Ottawa at leisure.

Day 11 - Ottawa Return

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Ottawa, alternatively speak to your consultant if you wish to extend your stay in Ottawa.
