The journey is split over two days, with an overnight stop in Prince George. Here, passengers disembark and stay in a hotel of their choice before continuing the second leg of the journey. The highlight of the route is the spectacular stretch along the Skeena River, where you’ll be treated to incredible views of forests, mountains, and pristine wilderness.
The Skeena operates with Economy Class seating, offering large windows perfect for taking in the scenery. Food and drink options are limited onboard, so it’s recommended to bring your own refreshments before departure. Despite its simplicity, this route is all about the journey and the stunning landscapes that make it one of Canada’s hidden rail gems.
The Ocean Route – Halifax to Montreal (1 Day/1 Night)
