Ashcroft, British Columbia

Ashcroft is a small town situated along the banks of the Thompson River and boasts clean air, fresh water, locally produced foods along with ample hiking and walking opportunities.

It has a rich history and played an important part in the development of the interior of British Columbia. Ashcroft was one of the starting points on the wagon road to Barkerville and provided many of the necessities for those travelling north.  Both of Canada's major railroads, Canadian Pacific and Canadian National, travel through Ashcroft as well as Highway 97C which connects it with the Trans Canada Highway and the Coquihalla Highway.

Fresh fruit and produce are available from Desert Hills as well as from vendors at the local Farmer's Market.

Why not vist the museum located on the corner of 4th and Brinks Streets where you can learn about the history of the area.

There is a racetrack (Eagle Motorplex) which hosts a number of races including night drags, motorcycle races and old time drag races
