Begin your rail adventure onboard ‘The Canadian’ departing Vancouver traveling to the heart of the Canadian Rockies in the town of Jasper. Enjoying a 4-night stay in Jasper where we have included a wildlife tour where you are able to spot some local wildlife including Moose, Elk and Bears. Visit the Columbia Icefields where you will have the opportunity to stand on a glacier. After your visit to Jasper join the Skeena Train where you will begin to leave the Rocky Mountains behind as you travel alongside the Fraser River, spending a night in Prince George before continuing onwards to Prince Rupert.

Returning to the vibrant city of Vancouver for 2-nights where we have included a city highlights tour allowing you to see the very best the city including, Stanley Park, Gastown, English Bay and more! Finishing with a dazzling 7-night Alaskan Cruise with Celebrity Cruises, on this cruise enjoy viewing the magnificent glaciers and look out for Humpback Whales and Orcas.

Day 2 - Vancouver to Jasper onboard the VIA Rail

Enjoy free time in the morning to explore Vancouver before making your own way to the train station to board VIA Rail’s iconic route ‘The Canadian’ a rail journey through the Canadian Rockies. Passing through Fraser Valley and viewing magnificent coastal mountains before entering Fraser Canyon. Enjoy dinner onboard as you follow along the spectacular Thompson River providing fantastic views.

Dinner is included onboard the VIA Rail.

Day 3 - Arrive in Jasper

As the ‘Canadian’ begins to make its way into Jasper you will have the opportunity to view Mount Robson the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arriving at Jasper in the afternoon make your own way to your chosen Jasper hotel.

In the evening enjoy a wildlife tour of Jasper where you have the opportunity to spot various local wildlife including Moose, Elk, Big Horn Sheep and Bears! Your local guide will teach all about the National Park and more about the wildlife which calls it home.

Breakfast is included onboard the VIA Rail.

Day 4 - Jasper Skytram

Today we have included the Jasper Skytram allowing to view Jasper National Park from new heights, as you rise 7,425 feet providing you with fantastic scenic views of Jasper National Park.

In the afternoon explore Jasper at your leisure.

Day 5 - Columbia Icefield Discovery

Experience the power of glaciers up-close on this exciting tour that highlights the most unique attraction in the Canadian Rockies, the Columbia Icefield Adventure. Travel on a massive Ice Explorer onto an ancient glacier and step out onto ice that is deep enough to bury the Eiffel Tower. Stand in the sky at the Glacier Skywalk, a curved glass walkway that stretches 30 metres from the sheer face of a cliff and hangs mid-air. This tour is filled with exciting experiences, spectacular sights, intriguing stories, and the best photo opportunities.

Day 7 - Jasper to Prince George onboard the VIA Rail

Board the VIA Rail Skeena Train to Prince George, as you begin your travels making your way through the Rockies as you are traveling alongside the Fraser River you will arrive into Prince George in the evening.

Please note that there is limited food available onboard the train we recommend bringing some snacks with you.

Day 8 - Prince George to Prince Rupert

Continue your journey west this morning on the Skeena Train following in the footsteps of First Nations people who once travelled this route during the Fur Trade. Arriving into Prince Rupert in the evening.

Day 9 - Prince Rupert to Vancouver

Take the short domestic flight from Prince Rupert to Vancouver, making your own way to you downtown Vancouver hotel. Spending the rest of the day at leisure speak to your consultant if you wish to add on a day tour.

Day 10 - Explore Vancouver

This morning we have included a city highlights tour of Vancouver! Allowing you to visit the highlights of the cosmopolitan city while learning about the sights and how Vancouver became the city it is today. Highlights along the tour includes Gastown, Chinatown, English Bay and Vancouver Harbour. Stops include at Stanley Park to view the Indigenous Peoples Totem Poles and stop for lunch at farmers market at Granville Island.

In the afternoon enjoy exploring Vancouver at your own pace.

Day 13 - Icy Strait Point

For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, Icy Strait Point offers travellers the chance to view an enormous variety of wildlife including humpback whales, eagles, and brown bears, or explore monuments to the region’s fishing heritage.

Day 14 - Hubbard Glacier (Cruising)

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-storey buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Day 15 - Juneau

Juneau, the capital of Alaska, has an air of mystique – a town you cannot reach by road, you need to fly or come by sea! Juneau delights with an abundance of water, forests and mountains. Situated between the Coast Mountains and the Gastineau Channel, Juneau offers a lot of variety, with the immense Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefields at its back door and the Tongass National Forest stretching out to the northeast. Juneau offers a variety of activities from shopping downtown to dogsledging, hiking, whale-watching and so much more.

Day 16 - Ketchikan

You've never tasted salmon so fresh. Known as the 'Salmon Capital of the World', Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world's largest collection of totem poles. If you're up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you'll long remember.

Day 17 - Cruising the Inside Passage

Cruise back along the Inside Passage and take in the breath-taking wilderness coastline, with snow capped mountain peaks, glaciers, and rain forests. You may see whales, eagles, sea lions, sea otters, and mountain sheep.

Day 18 - Vancouver to UK

Disembarking back in Vancouver this morning, make your own way to Vancouver Airport for your onward flight home.
