Canadian Rockies & Azamara Quest Canada holiday.

A great 14 nights holiday where you will visit some of the most incredible Lakes in the Rockies.

You will then embark on the world famous Rocky Mountaineer train on its' 2 day journey from Banff to Vancouver.

In Vancouver you will then board the Azamara Quest for your cruise to Alaska. Apart from the incredible scenery and wildife, you will visit Alaskan towns on the way. You will then cruise down to Seattle and back to Vancouver for your flight back to the UK

Day 2 - Lake Louise & Lake Moraine Tour

Spend this morning at your leisure before your afternoon Lake Louise & Moraine Lake tour.

On this afternoon sightseeing tour you will visit the "Jewel of the Canadian Rockies," Lake Louise and the world renowned Moraine Lake. Both are a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you will have time to take photos of their shorelines. Learn our mountaineering history and how a tragic accident at Lake Louise shaped Canadian Mountain Culture. Finally, walk to the viewpoint in the Valley of Ten Peaks overlooking Moraine Lake. 

Tour highlights: Bow Valley Parkway, Baker Creek Mountain Resort, Lake Louise, Chateau Lake Louise, Moraine Lake (closed early/late season), refreshment, and maple cookies.

Day 3 - Embark Rocky Mountaineer in Banff rail journey to Kamloops

Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior.  As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo mountains.  Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops.  Overnight in Kamloops.


Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer rail journey from Kamloops to Vancouver

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley.  Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon.  Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening.

Day 5 - Embark Azamara Quest in Vancouver

Spend this morning at your leisure in Vancouver before emabarking the Azamara Quest for your mesmerising 10 night Alaska Cruise.


Day 6 - At Sea

Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at our fitness center, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck.

In the evening, savor inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.


Day 7 - Ketchikan, Alaska

Surrounded by lakes, rivers, and streams, the “Salmon Capital of the World” is an angler’s paradise. Hop on a charter and keep an eye out for Ketchikan’s other marine residents like orca and humpback whales, seals, and porpoises. Hike Married Man’s Trail, kayak the Misty Fjords, visit the Totem Heritage Center, and stroll Creek Street for quaint restaurants, bars, gift shops, and scenic views.


Day 8 - Juneau, Alaska

Stretching from the Juneau Icefield to the waterfront downtown, Juneau is a treasure trove of sights. Dig into the city’s gold mining history at Juneau Douglas City Museum, stroll down Historic South Franklin Street, go whale or iceberg watching, tour Mendenhall Glacier and the Tongass National Forest, or board the Mount Roberts Tramway for great dining, shopping, and easy access to hiking trails.


Day 9 - Skagway, Alaska

Take in historic sites like the storied Red Onion Saloon, the yellow-domed Golden North Hotel, and the decidedly rustic Arctic Brotherhood Hall. For a more detailed account, head to the Corrington Museum of Alaska History and the Skagway Museum to see every aspect of local history from mastodon fossils and native handwoven baskets to the pistol of Skagway’s official bad boy, Soapy Smith.


Day 10 - Icy Strait Point, Alaska

Icy Strait Point is built on the site of a salmon cannery. The restored outbuildings now house a variety of restaurants, a museum, and local arts and crafts shops. The port is a cultural hub for the original inhabitants of the area—the Huna people. Enjoy an array of activities indigenous to the area including native dance performances, brown bear viewings, whale watching, fishing, birding, and hiking.


Day 11 - Sitka, Alaska

A walk around the city’s downtown brings you closer to its history with views of the Blockhouse, Russian Bishop’s House, St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, and the storied Castle Hill. Visit the Fortress of the Bear and the Alaska Raptor Center to get an up-close look at orphaned brown bear cubs, injured bald eagles, and other birds, and learn about both centers’ commitment to serving Alaska’s wildlife.


Day 12 - At Sea

Relax and reflect on your journey thus far with a few days of fun at sea. Get a behind-the-scenes look at life onboard with an Insider’s View Tour, attend a destination lecture to learn more about your next port-of-call, or try your luck at our onboard casino.

Venture beyond the city to breathtaking Snoqualmie Falls for a hike and a picnic and the powerful sight of the 268 foot crashing waterfall, one of the most stunning in the country. An exciting city in beautiful natural surroundings, Seattle is an alluring destination. Rain or shine.


Day 15 - Disembark ship at Vancouver & fly to UK

Disembark the ship in Vancouver and transfer to the Airport for your flight back to the UK
