Day 1 - Arrive Montreal

Arrive in Montreal and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. After checking in with your tour director, the remainder of the day is free to explore the streets of the dynamic and cultural city of Montréal. Overnight in Montreal.

Day 2 - Montreal

Today we tour the second-largest French-speaking city in the world. Touring the downtown area, we view the Olympic Complex, charming Old Montreal, McGill University, the residential streets of Mount Royal and the bustling shopping streets. There is an option to visit the Biodome housing five different ecosystems found in the Americas, as well as the Botanical Gardens featuring 22,000 plant species, 10 exhibition greenhouses, and over 20 thematic gardens, spread across 75 hectares. Overnight in Montreal/Laval. Continental breakfast included.

Day 3 - Montreal to Quebec City

Departing from Montreal, we drive along the stunning St. Lawrence River to Quebec’s cultural heartland, Quebec City. We follow the Chemin du Roy Highway winding through authentic French-Canadian villages and towns. Upon arrival in Quebec City, we tour within the walls of the old city and view the ornate city gates, Lower Town, The Citadelle and Battlefields Park. Overnight in the region of Quebec City. Continental breakfast included.

Day 4 - Quebec City

The day is at your leisure to further explore the sights of this charming World Heritage Site. You can enjoy an optional full day excursion to Tadoussac including 3-hours of whale watching on the St. Lawrence River at the mouth of the Saguenay River aboard a regular boat. Upon return, we will visit the spectacular Montmorency Falls that are 30 metres higher than the Niagara Falls with a flow of roughly 35,000 litres of water per second (125,000 litres during the spring). Overnight in the region of Quebec City. Continental breakfast included.

Day 5 - Quebec City to Ottawa

This morning, we travel along the scenic Ottawa River to the Nation’s capital, Ottawa. We skirt the magnificent Laurentians and follow the Chemin du Roy Highway past rustic Quebecois villages and historic shrines. On route, we stop at the iconic Sugar Shack for a guided visit and tasting with Chez Dany. After a brief orientation upon arrival in Ottawa, we enjoy a sightseeing tour of the national capital. Defined by the Rideau Canal (designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site) and the government buildings on Parliament Hill, the city offers many great sights including the public gardens, the Byward Market and City Hall. Overnight in Ottawa. Canadian breakfast included.

Day 6 - Ottawa to Toronto

Today’s journey takes us to Toronto. Our route winds through rolling farmland, following the rivers and lakes of the Rideau Waterway. The tour will stop in Rockport where you have the option of enjoying an entertaining and relaxing cruise through the beautiful Thousand Islands. The remainder of the day is free to explore the streets of this dynamic city. Discover the delights of Toronto’s vibrant neighbourhoods, take a ride to the top of the CN Tower, experience the lively theatre district, and indulge in one of the numerous restaurants. Overnight in Toronto. Continental breakfast included.

Day 7 - Toronto/Niagara Falls

This morning, we meet our fellow travellers at breakfast before setting out to discover the many identities of the Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. After seeing the provincial parliament buildings, the waterfront, the imposing CN Tower, and lively Chinatown, we leave the city and head for the Niagara Peninsula. We pass through outlying communities and towns along the shores of Lake Ontario en route to Niagara Falls. Time is allocated to admire the falls and take part in some of Niagara Falls numerous activities. Option to board the thrilling Niagara City Cruises – Voyage to The Falls for an immersive and unforgettable experience. Overnight in Toronto. Canadian breakfast included.

Day 8 - Toronto to Vancouver

The time has come for some last-minute shopping and to say farewell to Canada. Transfer (included) to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport in time to check in for your flight to Vancouver. Continental breakfast included. Upon arrival in Vancouver you will be transferred to your downtown hotel, remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 11 - Icy Strait Point

For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located just 22 miles southeast of Glacier Bay National Park, Icy Strait Point offers travellers the chance to view an enormous variety of wildlife including humpback whales, eagles, and brown bears, or explore monuments to the region’s fishing heritage.

Day 12 - Hubbard Glacier

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-storey buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Day 13 - Juneau

Juneau, the capital of Alaska, has an air of mystique – a town you cannot reach by road, you need to fly or come by sea! Juneau delights with an abundance of water, forests and mountains.Situated between the Coast Mountains and the Gastineau Channel, Juneau offers a lot of variety, with the immense Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Icefields at its back door and the Tongass National Forest stretching out to the northeast. Juneau offers a variety of activities from shopping downtown to dogsledging, hiking, whale-watching and so much more.

Day 14 - Ketchikan

You've never tasted salmon so fresh. Known as the 'Salmon Capital of the World', Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world's largest collection of totem poles. If you're up for an adventure, take a canoe and nature trail excursion through the rain forest or a wilderness exploration followed by a sumptuous crab feast you'll long remember.

Day 15 - Cruise the Inside Passage

Cruise back along the Inside Passage and take in the breath-taking wilderness coastline, with snow capped mountain peaks, glaciers, and rain forests. You may see whales, eagles, sea lions, sea otters, and mountain sheep.

Day 16 - Disembark Vancouver, fly home

This morning diembark from your Alaska Cruise, where we have included a site seeing tour of Vancouver. Prepare to experience the unique history and unfolding splendour as you tour through the modern streets of Vancouver. Drive by the most renowned sights and learn how Vancouver became the city it is today. Situated on the edge of the Pacific Ocean and framed by British Columbia's imposing mountains, it's easy to fall in love with this astonishing city. Drive through historic neighbourhoods such as Gastown, Chinatown, scenic English Bay and the picturesque Vancouver Harbour. Stops in Stanley Park feature Indigenous Peoples' Totem Poles, spectacular views of the mountains and the Lions Gate Bridge. Also includes the opportunity to wander through the charming farmer's market at Granville Island.
