Perfectly situated within close proximity to many of Yukon’s most highly regarded wilderness parks and playgrounds, Northern Lights Resort & SPA is your starting point for an infinite number of possibilities for year-round nature-fun and adventure in this remote country and it is definitely one of the prime locations in the Yukon to see the elusive Northern Lights – Aurora Borealis.
Located on private 160 acres, just 20 minutes south of Whitehorse, built from massive Douglas Fir by your German-Canadian hosts, this little piece of paradise is located in a quiet open countryside close to the Yukon River, surrounded by pine forests and ringed by mountains. The log cabins are modern and lovingly designed.
Enjoy a quiet and comfortable place where guests are asked to take their shoes off and make themselves at home. After a day of adventure and outdoor activity, relax in the luxury outdoor Jacuzzi or in the spa/wellness area featuring a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, gym & relax room and a massage room. Enjoy the magic Winter Wonderland and the spectacular views of the Northern Lights. The open area surrounding the lodge allows un-obscured views of the soaring Aurora Borealis!
Yukon Winter Adventure includes:
- 4 nights at Northern Lights Hotel & Spa
- Arrival and departure transfer from/to Whitehorse Airport or downtown location (between 4 am to 6 pm)
- Healthy European style breakfasts and three-course dinners
- Nightly guided Aurora Viewing and photography assistance, English speaking guides
- A 3.5-hour tour to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve
Day 1 - Vancouver to Whitehorse & Evening Aurora Viewing
Depart Vancouver Airport for Whitehorse (flight not included). Upon arrival, a transfer is included to your hotel in downtown Whitehorse. The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. We will have an informational meeting and registration for optional tours at the hotel. Take your time for fitting the winter clothing (optional), shopping and dinner on your own. At 9.30pm depart for Aurora viewing. A cosy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks make your Aurora viewing even more enjoyable. Return to hotel around 2.00am.

Day 2 - Yukon Wildlife Preserve Tour & Northern Lights
Great way to spend an afternoon in the country with 15 different northern species in over 600 acres. We will provide an interesting drive thru tour with many stops along the way to hopefully get the close up shot of your favourite critter. Enjoy the wildlife stories and the sounds from the wild and woolly. Light tour chat provided as we enjoy a relaxing 40-45 minute drive from the south country side to the north scenic side of the Whitehorse area. This evening you will have your Northern Lights Viewing.

Day 3 - Day At Leisure & Evening Aurora Viewing
Wake up to a healthy European-style breakfast and spend your days relaxing in the lodge in front of the fireplace. Talk with your host about breakfast times. Since you will be up late the night before, you may not want to have breakfast too early. Go snowshoeing, or plan a day out dog sledding (optional tours). Enjoy the sauna and a massage treatment in our spa. Or simply relax in the outdoor hot tub on the large deck under the breathtaking northern sky. In the evening, after dinner, you can stay up late again to view the Aurora Borealis.

Day 4 - Morning At Leisure. Afternoon Transfer To Whitehorse & Evening Aurora Viewing
Breakfast at the lodge.The morning is at your leisure or you can plan an optional day tour (need to be booked in advance). Transfer back to your hotel in downtown at 11.00am or after your optional day tour. At 9.30 pm we depart for your last night of Aurora viewing at the Northern Tales Trading Post. Return to the hotel around 2.00 am.
Day 5 - Transfer To Whitehorse Airport
Transfer (included) to Whitehorse airport for your return flight to Vancouver, upon arrival at Vancouver Airport your package ends
