The Rocky Mountaineer is now connecting the "Emerald City" Seattle, Washington, one of the world's most popular cruise ports, to the Canadian Rockies with the introduction of the beautiful Coastal Passage route. As part of the 3 day Gold Leaf Service rail packages, guests will be treated to a luxurious journey from Seattle to Vancouver. Sparkling shorelines and beautiful meadows showcase the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, then continue this epic trip into the Canadian Rockies.

The Rocky Mountaineer Coastal Passage Itinerary - from Seattle to Banff

Departs Seattle 25 & 26 August 2012

Day 1 - Departs Seattle 1600, arrives Vancouver 2030

Check-in at Seattle King Street Station for the first leg of your Rocky Mountaineer journey. Highlights include the fishing fleet (and Boeing jets) of Everett, the fields at the foot of the Cascade Mountains near Mount Vernon, sunset views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands beyond, and, after crossing the Canadian border, the community of White Rock. Overnight in Vancouver.
Dinner

Day 2 - Departs Vancouver 0730, Arrives Kamloops 1735

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Kamloops. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Overnight in Kamloops.
Breakfast, Lunch

Day 3 - Departs Kamloops 0630, arrives Banff 1900
  
Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your journey ends upon arrival in Banff.

Departs Banff 22 August 2012

Day 1 - Departs Banff 0830, arrives Kamloops 1900

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Banff to Kamloops. Highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 2 - Departs Kamloops 0730, arrives Vancouver 1735

Your journey continues west towards the coastal city of Vancouver. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 3 - Departs Vancouver 0700, arrives Seattle 1155

A motorcoach will transfer you to nearby Pacific Central Station, where you will clear US customs and board for the southbound rail journey to Seattle. Highlights include the community of White Rock, views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands beyond, the fields at the foot of the Cascade Mountains near Mount Vernon, the fishing fleet (and Boeing jets) of Everett, and a unique view of the Chittenden Locks. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Seattle at King Street Station.

Highlights include Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River. Overnight in Kamloops.
