Spectacular West Coach/Rail Tour

4 Day / 3 Night Coach/Rail Tour from Vancouver to Calgary (This tour can also be done in reverse Calgary to Vancouver) including a 2 day trip on the World Famous Rocky Mountaineer.

Eastbound:

Day 1	Vancouver to Kamloops (Rail)
	Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at their station. Pass through the rich fields of the Fraser River Valley and the towering peaks of the Coastal Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Follow the Thompson River through spectacular landscapes to historic Kamloops (gateway to the interior of British Columbia). (breakfast & lunch is included today)
Day 2	Kamloops to Jasper (Rail)
	Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus to the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields. Pass by Mount Robson, at 3954 metres (12,972 feet), which is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon. (breakfast & lunch is included today)
Day 3	Jasper to Banff (Coach)
	Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 325 sq km’s and reaches a depth of 320 metres. Time allows for an (included) Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier. Along the way stops will be made at Lake Louise, Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bear, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy. Please note: mountain lakes in this region will be frozen through to mid June.
Day 4	Morning tour of Banff, mid-day transfer to Calgary
	This morning, tour through the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind), Surprise Corner, Tunnel Mountain Drive, which overlooks the splendour of Bow Valley . Depart for Calgary midday, arriving Calgary airport at 2.30pm or downtown at 3.00pm.
