Toronto to Jasper (Rail) |

This evening, check in at Toronto's Union Station and board VIA Rail's 'Canadian' for the famous train journey across the prairies to the Canadian Rockies. Travel back in time to the days of classic rail travel. The original stainless steel 'streamliner' railcars, made famous by the 'Canadian' in the 1950's, are totally refurbished with air conditioning, a cafecar, lounge car, and access for all onboard to the dome car.

By day, sit back in comfortable armchairs and enjoy the stretch out comfort of your very own accommodation. At night attendants will transform your quarters into cozy bunks or bedroom. Guests have access to the Park Car, always at the tail end of the train whose tapered shape gives the car its distinctive look. Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee or in the evening before dinner complimentary hors d'oeuvres In the Dome you'll feel the true essence of traveling by train - where scene after memorable scene sweeps by. This evening retire to your Sleeping Car where a comfortable bed awaits you. Some of the amenities include thick towels, plump pillows, cozy down duvets and a shower kit.

This morning awake to arrive in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, after a brief stop continue on for the final leg of your rail journey to Jasper. This small alpine community located in the majestic Canadian Rockies will be home for the next 2 nights.

Evening Wildlife Tour (Coach) |

Today is at your leisure to enjoy the spectacular wonders of Jasper. This evening experience the Jasper Wonderland for some amazing close-up photo opportunities of wildlife. Destinations can include the Maligne Valley and the Pyramid Bench (with its beaver ponds). |
| Day 6 |
Jasper to Lake Louise (Coach) |

Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 325 sq km's and reaches a depth of 320 metres. Time allows for an (included) Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier. Along the way stops will be made at Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bear, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy.

Depart Lake Louise mid-morning for a short drive via the scenic Bow Valley to Banff, arriving midday. |

Morning Sightseeing Tour of Banff (Coach) |

This morning, tour through the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind), Surprise Corner, Sulphur Mountain (gondola ride included), and Tunnel Mountain Drive - which overlooks the splendour of Bow Valley and the Cave and Basin where Banff 's history began. Enjoy the afternoon on your own to explore this charming resort. |

Banff to Kamloops (Rail) |

All aboard Rocky Mountaineer for the scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. As the train crosses over the continental divide you pass through the spiral tunnels in Yoho Nation Park, a remarkable engineering achievement. Continue on through the Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park with endless views on snow capped mountains and stunning glaciers. A stop will be made latter in the day at Craigellachie, where the last spike was driven completing the Canadian Pacific railway Trans Canada link in 1885.

Kamloops to Vancouver (Rail) |

Re-board the Rocky Mountaineer Train and follow the Thompson River through Ashcroft - one of Canada's driest towns (with an average rainfall of just 18 centimetres). Pass through Rainbow Canyon with its cliffs striped with pinks, greens and greys creating a stunning affect. Continue on to the Fraser Canyon where at Hells Gate you will observe a water torrent past the canyon walls at its narrowest point. The last leg of the journey takes you through the lush farming region of the Fraser Valley to arrive in the pacific port of Vancouver late afternoon.
