Day 1	Vancouver to Jasper (Rail)
	This evening (7.30pm), check in at the Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail's 'Canadian' for the famous train journey to the majestic Canadian Rockies. Travel back in time to the days of classic rail travel. The original stainless steel 'streamliner' railcars (made famous by the 'Canadian' in the 1950's) are totally refurbished with air conditioning, a cafe car, lounge car, and access for all on board to the dome car. Exclusive to Silver and Blue class: By day, sit back in comfortable armchairs and enjoy the stretch out comfort of your very own accommodation. At night attendants will transform your quarters into cozy bunks or bedroom. Guests have access to the Park Car, always at the tail end of the train whose tapered shape gives the car its distinctive look. Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee or in the evening before dinner complimentary hors d'oeuvres. In the Dome you'll feel the true essence of travelling by train - where scene after memorable scene sweeps by. This evening retire to your Sleeping Car where a comfortable bed awaits you. Some of the amenities include thick towels, plump pillows, cozy down duvets and a shower kit.
Day 2	Canadian Rockies by daylight onboard Via Rail
	By the time you awake this morning the train will have just departed Kamloops to begin a day of travelling towards the Canadian Rockies and Jasper. Enjoy breakfast (included) while surrounded by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Around lunch time the 'Canadian' begins its passage into the Canadian Rockies with views of snow-capped peaks, Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields. Pass by Mount Robson, which at 3954 metres is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper at 4.00pm and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the afternoon is yours to explore this unique mountain community. (breakfast & lunch included today)
Day 3	Jasper to Banff with Ice Explorer ride
	Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 325 sq km?s and reaches a depth of 320 metres. Time allows for an (included) Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier. Along the way stops will be made at Lake Louise, Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bears, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy. Please note: mountain lakes in this region will be frozen through to mid June.

Day 4	Morning tour of Banff with gondola ride
	This morning, tour through the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind), Surprise Corner, Sulphur Mountain (gondola ride included), and Tunnel Mountain Drive, which overlooks the splendour of Bow Valley and the Cave and Basin where Banff's history began. Enjoy the afternoon on your own to explore this charming resort.
Day 5	Banff to Kamloops (Rocky Mountaineer)
	All aboard Rocky Mountaineer for the scenic rail journey to Kamloops in the Interior of British Columbia. As the train crosses over the continental divide you pass through the spiral tunnels in Yoho National Park, a remarkable engineering achievement. Continue on through the Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park with endless views of snow capped mountains and stunning glaciers. A stop will be made later in the day at Craigellachie, where the last spike was driven completing the Canadian Pacific Railway Trans Canada link in 1885. (breakfast & lunch is included today)
Day 6	Kamloops to Vancouver (Rocky Mountaineer)
	Re-board the Rocky Mountaineer Train and follow the Thompson River through Ashcroft - one of Canada's driest towns (with an average rainfall of just 18 centimetres). Pass through Rainbow Canyon with its cliffs striped with pinks, greens and greys creating a stunning affect. Continue on to the Fraser Canyon where at Hell's Gate you will observe a water torrent past the canyon walls at its narrowest point. The last leg of the journey takes you through the lush farming region of the Fraser Valley to arrive in the pacific port of Vancouver late afternoon. (breakfast & lunch is included today)
