Day 1 Vancouver to Kamloops (Rail)
At the Rocky Mountaineer Station board The Rocky Mountaineer Train.
Pass through the rich fields of the Fraser River Valley and the towering
peaks of the Coastal Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Follow
the Thompson River through spectacular landscapes to historic Kamloops
(gateway to the interior of British Columbia).

Day 2 Kamloops to Jasper (Rail)
Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer follow the Thompson River through
rolling plateaus to the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View
Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields. Pass by
Mount Robson, at 3954 metres (12,972 feet), which is the highest peak in
the Canadian Rockies. Arrive in Jasper late afternoon.

Day 3 Evening wildlife tour Jasper (Coach)
Today is at your leisure to enjoy the spectacular wonders of Jasper. This
evening experience the Jasper Wonderland for some amazing close-up
photo opportunities of wildlife. Destinations can include the Maligne Valley
and the Pyramid Bench (with its beaver ponds).

Day 4 Jasper to Lake Louise (Coach)
Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America
- the Icefield Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of
nearly 325 sq km’s and reaches a depth of 320 metres. Time allows for an
Ice Explorer ride (included) on the Athabasca Glacier. Along the way stops
will be made at Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca
Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bears, elk, moose &
mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy. Please note: mountain lakes
in this region will be frozen through to mid June.

Day 5 Lake Louise to Banff (Coach)
Depart Lake Louise mid-morning for a short drive via the scenic Bow Valley
to Banff, arriving midday.

Day 6 Morning tour of Banff, mid-day transfer to Calgary
This morning, tour through the town of Banff and its environs. Among
the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind),
Surprise Corner, Tunnel Mountain Drive -which overlooks the splendour
of Bow Valley and the Cave and Basin where Banff’s history began. Depart
for Calgary midday, arriving Calgary airport at 2.30pm or downtown at
3.00pm.

• Return transfers between rail depot and hotel in Kamloops

• Taxi transfer between rail depot and hotel in Jasper

• Evening wildlife tour in Jasper

• Full Day Icefield Park tour between Jasper and Lake Louise Hotels

• Coach transfer between Lake Louise Hotel and Banff Hotel

• Morning sightseeing tour in Banff
