Sapphire Princess entered service in May 2004 as a sister ship to the elegant Diamond Princess. This "sparkling" new vessel will offer passengers a way to visit a variety of ports throughout the Pacific in style.
Like the Grand-class ships, Diamond and Sapphire Princess will feature the Skywalkers disco/lounge in the sky but with a larger room plus a new 125-foot wide balcony providing commanding views over the aft end of the ship. Other popular features include multiple dining rooms and show lounges, a wedding chapel, Internet Cafe, Lotus Spa, a multi-room youth center, and Princess' trademark balcony staterooms. Sapphire Princess sails to Alaska from Seattle in the summer. Sapphire Princess will be the largest cruise ships to ever sail in Alaska.
